Planning guide across SafePath’s industries
OrganizationWhere to start
K–12 schoolsState school safety programs; NY ESD/SVP, SSBA and NPSE; COPS SVPP. Use E-Rate for eligible broadband, Wi-Fi and cabling.
Houses of worship & nonprofitsFederal NSGP and state hate-crime/security programs. Maryland also has county-specific rounds. Religious school funding has separate school eligibility.
Colleges & universitiesEligible nonprofit campus NSGP; NJ HETI for approved technology infrastructure; public preparedness partnerships where authorized. E-Rate does not fund ordinary college campuses.
HealthcareEligible nonprofit NSGP; specialized reproductive-clinic security programs; rural essential-facility support and HCF connectivity where the site qualifies.
Property management & housingPublic housing agencies can use eligible HUD capital/security routes. Private apartments and HOAs do not inherit PHA eligibility.
Commercial & multi-site businessesNY retail security tax credit and narrowly eligible local improvement programs. Check each location independently.
Restaurant groupsInvestigate local business premises improvement programs. No broad restaurant security-equipment grant was verified across all six states.
Transit & municipal facilitiesEligible TSGP/PSGP, SHSP/UASI, rural community facilities, local CDBG, and state/local capital routes.
Data centers & critical facilitiesEligible public preparedness or maritime infrastructure projects through an authorized applicant. No general private-data-center camera/network grant was verified.

The organization normally applies or receives the allocation; SafePath may compete to supply an eligible project. Grant references do not establish vendor approval, licensing, or permission to bypass competitive procurement.

Make the project ready

Good funding starts with a defined need.

01 / Establish eligibility

Confirm your legal entity, facility address, ownership or lease rights, and the program’s applicant requirements.

02 / Connect risk to scope

Document the vulnerability, the proposed improvement, and an itemized budget. Separate equipment, labor, training, and recurring costs.

03 / Check before committing

Verify deadlines, match requirements, procurement rules, reimbursement timing, and any environmental or historic review before purchasing or starting work.

How SafePath can help

Turn a security concern into a practical project.

Discuss assessments, system design, itemized project estimates, and a phased implementation plan. We’ll confirm the support and site coverage appropriate to your project.

Your organization remains responsible for its application and compliance. The funding agency decides eligibility and awards. A listed program does not guarantee funding, approval of a particular technology, or SafePath service availability in that state.

Plan your project

Security needs don’t stop at a state line.
