Manage entry

See who’s there. Have the conversation. Decide what’s next.

Connect the person at the entrance with the team that can help, verify the visit, or authorize entry.

01

A clear conversation

Match the station and audio design to the conditions at the entrance.

02

A visible decision

Use supported video and entry controls to help staff verify the visit.

03

A reachable team

Plan call routing around staffing, schedules, and missed calls.

An entrance needs a conversation and a decision.

A locked door is only part of an entry strategy. Visitors need a way to reach someone, and staff need enough context to decide whether to release the door. An intercom connects those two sides of the entrance without requiring someone to leave their work area for every call.

SafePath plans audio and video intercom systems for building entries, delivery points, gates, and internal communication. We consider who answers, what they need to see or hear, and where a call goes when the first person is unavailable.

Build around the environment at the door.

Traffic noise, wind, lighting, mounting height, and distance from the visitor affect the experience. A gate station used from a vehicle has different needs from an indoor reception point. Review accessibility and the practical space available before choosing a station.

Make unanswered calls part of the design.

A reception desk may be empty during lunch or after hours. Discuss a second answering station, supported phone or mobile answering, and an appropriate fallback. Decide whether remote door release is permitted and which users can perform it.

Connect entry permission carefully.

Coordinate the intercom release with door hardware and access control. Where recording or event history is available, define the purpose and who can access it. For emergency call points, agree the separate response arrangement and operational requirements before treating an ordinary intercom as an emergency service.

What we plan with you.

  • Audio and video stations for doors, gates, and internal communication
  • Reception consoles, supported phone interfaces, and mobile answering options
  • Call routing, overflow, schedules, and missed-call behavior
  • Door-release interfaces and coordination with access control
  • Network, power, outdoor conditions, and commissioning
Your first conversation

Bring your priorities.
We’ll work through the details.

List the entrances, who should answer each one, and the times those people are available. Bring details of the current door hardware, phone system, and network, along with any recurring noise or visibility problems.

Questions worth asking.

Can we answer a door call from a phone?

Many systems offer phone or mobile options. Supported call features, licensing, network access, and remote door permissions depend on the selected platform.

Can we keep our existing door lock?

It may be reusable after checking its condition, power, release interface, and intended operation with the proposed system.

Will one station serve multiple tenants?

Some platforms support directories and separate call destinations. Plan administration, tenant turnover, privacy, and call routing for your building.
